Whilst in the studio I was the Producer/Director and my job was to sit in the gallery and communicate with the Floor Manager (Anna) and the Camera Operators (Shannon, Amber and Andy) to tell them what angles I wanted and to signal when VTs are starting and finishing.
Whilst working in the studio I learnt how everything worked and in the gallery how to fade from the studio and into the VTs and how to use the sound which turns the volume down in the studio so the VT can be heard. I also learnt that communication is vital because after rehearsal Anna told me I didn't tell her what to do and to talk to her more so when we went and did the show I spoke more and gave orders.
From my studio experience I wouldn't much because it was mostly ok, I would decorat the studio more and make it look more proffessionaland give people that weren't in that much less vital jobs. If I were to work in the studio again I would like to do another TV show or work with greenscreen.

One to Watch Pre-Production
When we were put into the group I was assigned to be the Director/Producer of the show and I was supposed to give people there jobs to do.I then created a Powepoint that featured content ideas from the groups presentations and wrote what they would feature and details about them and then as a group we decided what games would go into the final show, we chose Catwalk Conundrum, a game where models walk down the catwalk and two contestants guess the prices and whoever is right they get to take the clothes. The second game we chose we incorperated into an interview with a celebrity, Apple Bobbing with numbers wrote on the apples and random questions, whatever number was pulled out then the interviewee would be asked the question. Our final thing from the PowePoint was a simple movie review segment where the presenters would review a recent film.
By the day after I became a researcher aswell, helping people with the work they were doing, for the first couple of lessons I did a list of things that would be in the show to give to Drew and Sam so they would know what would have to be in the script, because they are the script writers, I helped Andy design the floor plan which is what we want the studio to look like but by the time we entered production changed because we didn't have some of the things, we did the contingency plan which is a backup in case anything goes wrong we have a plan for it and booking forms for Anna to take out and film the Vanverse Vt in which she asks the public what they prefer Vans or Converse.

Sometimes if someone did a piece of work that was handed in and Nick said it wasn't good enough then I would re-do it. Another problem was people not being in, therefore the work would have to be shared with others in the class to ensure that it was done on time. Whilst doing all this I enjoyed getting the work done and knowing it was done and filling up the folders and that what we were working towards would be achievable.
I found keeping on top of all the work difficult because as Producer I had to know what was done and sometimes when I thought things were done it really irritated me when they were'nt done properly then I would have to make the corrections and it would just confuse me. I also found it difficult because when I didn't know what I was doing Andy would start saying that he should've been producer and he was really doing my head in until he said he was joking. Also people not doing what they were supposed to.
If I was to go into pre-production again I definatley would not the producer or director because it was too much and I would let somebody else do it. I would do work on my own because I like it better like that and correct my own work not anyone elses.
